Description This person will be responsible to drive Lutron sales by providing information, service, and business relationships to positively influence decision makers in Los Angeles Metro to view Lutron as their first and full choice for lighting controls.
Responsibilities  
  • Drive Lutron sales growth to meet plan objectives.
  • Build strong, lasting business relationships with key decision makers Los Angeles commercial end users.
  • Uncover account needs and propose Lutron solutions to solve these needs. Work with the account to proactively execute solutions and drive our sales to meet or exceed goals.
  • Provide comprehensive customer care for each account by working on their behalf with all internal Lutron departments to assure their needs are being met by Lutron. Solve problems for accounts and quickly resolve any conflicts or disagreements.
  • Develop strategic market plans that generate new accounts and drive incremental sales at existing accounts.
  • Stay current with market trends and anticipate account needs and opportunities. Listen to product suggestions and provide feedback to internal Lutron departments. Stay current with all Lutron products and lighting solutions.
  • Generate required reports and management information to Sales management. Keep records and contact information in a professional manner, using Salesforce.com that can be shared with appropriate Lutron people.
  • Communicate proactively with territory, specification, residential and window sales teams about Lutron sales opportunities beyond your Los Angeles accounts.
  • Provide relevant, timely training to accounts on products, industry trends, LEED, etc. including both CEU and non-credit sessions.
  • Keep accurate expense records and submit expense reports in a timely manner

Qualifications
 
  • BS/BA; or equivalent work experience
  • Proven ability to open new accounts and drive specifications with influencers and decision makers.
  • Experience with account management and sales generation in the commercial building industry or similar industry.
  • Thorough understanding of commercial building maintenance and retrofit business and general industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to achieve success through influencing others and leading people in projects and problem resolutions resulting in incremental sales for Lutron.
  • Proven ability to deal with and to resolve conflict, negotiating solutions that are for the mutual benefit of the company and the customer.
  • Experience making sound financial decisions to meet current objectives as well as longer term growth objectives.
  • Aptitude to learn Lutron’s channels, influencers, go to market strategies, products and total lighting solutions.
  • Willingness to travel 25-35% of the time, sometimes with little or no notice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience training or/and public speaking
  • Salesforce, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint experience a plus.
